Our 2022 summer music camp was a great success. For five weeks, students met to learn an entire music program. With over 120 hours of music instruction, classes included music theory, choir, percussion, strings, piano, dance, songwriting, marching, and music appreciation. Students varied in which class was their favorite. They agreed that “SWAN camp is the BEST!”
Working together, they prepared six songs to perform as a choir with instrumental accompaniment. Our instrumentalist worked on several ensemble pieces as well. A student who performed eight times since the start of camp shared, “I felt really awkward at the beginning, but by the end, I realized I did a good job.”
