Free Music Instruction & Mentoring for Children Affected by Parental Incarceration

Our programs are designed to develop students’ patience, perseverance, and discipline through practice, problem-solving skills, and teamwork. SWAN students build these skills that will help them excel in school and throughout their lives.

Instruments (new & used) are provided for our students by community members and donations.

Free Lessons

Weekly private or group lessons are taught by qualified music instructors.

Performances

Students participate in service and community performances throughout the year.

Progress Check-In

A professional music instructor and program director meet one-on-one with students to keep everyone on track.

Music Ensembles

Students are placed in ensembles and learn to perform together.

Mentoring

One-on-one and group mentoring occur during lessons and performances.

Summer Program

Our summer camp meets daily Monday – Thursday, providing music instruction, enrichment classes, and mentoring. It culminates in several community performances. We also provide private virtual music instruction.
