A Performance to Remember: SWAN Students Receive a Special Thank You
Sometimes, students don’t fully realize the impact of their performance until they hear from someone who was there.
Earlier this summer, SWAN students had the honor of performing at the Lancaster County Court of Common Pleas Open House celebrating 250 years of service.
Their song helped open the evening, and their performance was a special part of the celebration. Now, our students have received a meaningful reminder that their hard work and talent made an impression.
In a letter to SWAN Program Director Brooke Beazley, President Judge Leonard G. Brown, III, thanked our students and shared:
“The children’s song at the beginning started the evening off on the right note, and we deeply appreciate the time and talent SWAN shared with our community.”
He also thanked SWAN for contributing to the success of the event and helping make the celebration memorable.
To make sure each student who participated knew their performance was appreciated, Ms. Beazley mailed a copy of the letter along with a photo from the performance to each student.
We hope this special recognition reminds them of something we want all of our students to know: their gifts matter, their hard work matters, and they can make a difference when they share what they have been given.
Thank you to President Judge Brown and the Lancaster County Court of Common Pleas for including our students in this historic celebration and for taking the time to share such encouraging words with them.
