When Nicole’s friends wanted to so something in her memory they decided to give to others in need. Why? Because that is what characterized their dear friend. She cared and she gave. So when the Blueberry Pancake Breakfast was held in Nicole’s honor, her friends decided to have the proceeds benefit 3 missions: SWAN, Power Packs Project, and Reach Out and Read.
SWAN was awarded nearly $900 from the proceeds of the event. That is no small gift and it will provide lessons to our children throughout the new year but it is really providing more than music lessons. It is giving some of Lancaster’s most vulnerable children a chance to beat the odds, to develop their God given talents and to become all they can be. And what will our children do once they succeed? They will, in turn, help others in need.
