We’re thrilled to share that our Rising Stars program at Burrowes Elementary has started up again this fall! After weeks of preparation, the joyful sounds of music once again fill the halls on Tuesday afternoons.
The group includes returning students eager to grow, new faces ready to learn, and even some younger siblings who couldn’t wait to join. Together, they’re building skills in music, social-emotional learning, and hearing the hope of the Gospel.
Under the guidance of Mr. Allan and Mrs. Rawleigh, students are singing and drumming with energy and confidence. Ms. Sonya is helping them strengthen listening and teamwork skills, while Ms. Livingston, one of our devoted volunteers, provides encouragement and support. Ms. Mary leads Bible lessons, sharing the good news of Jesus with each child.
As one student shared recently, “I love SWAN because I get to sing, learn about God, and be with friends.”
