Thanksgiving day is a wonderful time filled with family, friends and lots of good food. It’s a time to look back at the year and remember how much we have been blessed. Sadly, there are many who are less fortunate. One in 28 children in the United States were not able to sit down to a nice meal with their father or mother because their parent is incarcerated. The holidays have a way of reminding these vulnerable children of the sad and difficult circumstances of their lives.
SWAN is grateful for all the support that has made it possible to give our enrolled children help through the gift of music. Thank you to everyone who has come out to events and who has supported SWAN through donations. We have been blessed by your generosity and concern for these children. As you remember how blessed your life is this season, consider the children who could use the gift of music to give them hope. We have a growing number of children on our waiting list. As we can afford to give them lessons we will include them on our rolls.
